Is 100 mg CBD the right amount of CBD for your customers and patients?
It can be, as we said, 5 mg of CBD might be all they need – but 100 mg is worth trying. When 20 mg seems to help a little, it takes 100 mg to increase the potency.
The CBD dosage that’s right for each person depends on a few factors. For one, everyone’s endocannabinoid system is unique and everyone processes cannabinoids differently. A person’s metabolism and body weight can alter how much gets in your system, and your intended use will necessitate different serving sizes.
The best way to find your dosage is by titrating upwards. Start low for a week first, then every few days after, jump up by 10 or 20 milligrams to potentially see benefits. Is 100 mg CBD a day too much?

Because there currently is an approved isolated CBD drug that treats rare epilepsies in children called Epidiolex, we have data on how high levels of CBD react in the body. According to this recent review, the average amount being given to children with treatment-resistant epilepsy is 15 mg of CBD per kilogram of weight per day.
That means for someone who weighs 150 pounds, their dose is 1,000 mg of CBD per day. And for some of these children, they’re receiving 1,500 to 2,000 mg per day. At these extremely high levels, the main side effects are loose stools, upset stomachs, and tiredness.
These effects were found to be transient and would discontinue when they stopped taking the drug. And with the more moderate levels found in dietary supplements like ours, the side effects are even more rare and mild. In the published reviews you see on the safety of CBD, the most common phrase is “well-tolerated”.

Of course, nothing in this world is completely safe, but CBD has consistently been found to be one of the most non-toxic ingredients. What does 100 mg CBD feel like?
Most people who take a 100mg CBD dose report that it is soothing. The mental effects of CBD tend to be calming. While their is a claim that CBD is not psychoactive, that is not correct. Psychoactive means a change in brain state – and CBD certainly can cause an important change in brain state: a lessening of anxiety.
